What answers
Every creature is a species, an element and a pile of numbers, all built from the bytes of an address. Names are generated too: Woofgrowl, Barkwoof, Yipwoof. We are as surprised as you.
Roll call
Headcount: 22
Dogs, golems, slimes and a cat, stood in front of the sign for a group photograph. They were not told to smile. Some of them cannot.
Species on file
Dogs, golems and slimes
Every species comes in every element. Here they all are, standing in Camp 7 for the photograph. They are idle. It is their favourite state.

Elements
Seven ways to hit
Every element has its own colour, its own mark and its own effect. Here they are, one dog apiece, with the way each one throws its moves.
-
Fire
A faceted fireball that leaves a trail of embers.
-
Water
A wave of pixel columns that rolls across the floor, like a digital equalizer.
-
Earth
A boulder of cubes, lobbed in a low arc.
-
Thunder
A bolt that turns at right angles, like a trace on a circuit board.
-
Light
A clean beam.
-
Phantom
A corrupted stream that snakes toward its target.
-
Common
A V of pale shards. Common has no element at all, and its mark is a plain ring and a dot.
Completion report
Twelve species planned
Species and elements are separate, so any species can turn up in any element. Filed by the Corps, who would like it noted that the dogs are done.

Traits
Names, tempers and rarities
Each creature has a temperament, which decides how it takes being coached, and likes and dislikes of its own.
Some creatures are Rare: special named forms that turn up far less often. We will leave it at that.
